Guide to My Old Weebly Website

Welcome!

Sometime around 2012 I "abandoned" a pilgrimage, and with it, the Weebly site where I kept a record of my travels.

That information still exists out there in the wilds of the internet, but I am beginning to move its parts here, under the umbrella of The Temple Guy (.org).

Though I have eliminated some pages--a contact form, a password system, a forum that never got off the ground--the outline of the site looked like this:

  • Temples: A list of temples and other sites visited
  • Galleries: Links to password-protected pages of pictures
  • A Pilgrim's Progress: A narrative of my trips
  • Features: The things you'll see in temples, being: [this page just serves as a guide to the next three]
    • Structures: Buildings, ponds, etc.
    • Statues: The Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Kings and Generals, Arhats, and Historical Figures depicted in temples
    • Symbols: Decorations on walls and elsewhere with symbolic meaning
  • The Pilgrim: A little about myself
  • Blog: Detailed accounts of (some of) my journeys [when I finished, exactly four posts, covering three temples! They are organized by date of visit.]

The above links lead to the old site. As I rebuild that site here, I will change the links, until all is under one roof.

And here's a bonus: each page of the old site had a banner that was meant, in some ways, to connect with the content. Although I will try to place them on the new pages, I have also gathered them here on a single page:
